I am a licensed superintendent, principal, and teacher with more than 20 years of professional experience as a learning systems innovator and senior education officer, and with a successful record of transformational leadership in complex and challenging environments for K-12, adult learners, and early care learning systems.

My leadership roles have included organizations of 150+ employees, annual budgets of $12MM to $105MM, and local, state, federal, tribal, and international education organizations such as Boston Public Schools, Harvard University, the State of Vermont, the Hopi Tribe, and the U.S. Departments of Education, State, and Defense.

My areas of focus include student and staff mental health and wellness, global studies and civic engagement, and multicultural team-building. I have worked and/or traveled in more than 30 countries and I am proficient in several languages. I can introduce myself politely in Hopi.

I hold a doctorate and three Master’s degrees in education and linguistics, with multiple publications, and additional graduate work in educational econometrics, school law, and clinical mental health counseling.
